Room for Rent in Laurel Canyon

Seeking a roommate for a quaint house in Laurel Canyon.

The house is in the heart of the canyon, within walking distance of the Canyon Country Store, Pace, Trader Joe’s, CVS, Landmark Theaters, and the Laugh Factory. It’s a 3 bedroom house with a separate, detached apartment above the spacious garage. There is a washer and dryer on-site, as well as a brand new stove. The property features wraparound outdoor space, which is tended by a gardener once a week (included in the rent). The driveway can fit three cars, and there is ample, unrestricted street parking all along the block.

The room shares a conjoined bathroom with my room. I’m a straight male in my early thirties, and work primarily from home as a podcast editor, though I go into an office in Burbank from time to time. I also act and write. I’m easy-going and somewhat on the introverted side. I like to keep the common spaces clean, but am not a stickler by any means. I spend a lot of time reading, learning Spanish, and running (there are some fantastic hills in the neighborhood, if you’re into that sort of thing). A gay man in his early thirties lives in the primary bedroom. He works from home for an entertainment publication. A queer woman in her mid-thirties lives in the apartment above the garage. She’s a filmmaker and VR technician. While she primarily does her own thing up in her apartment, she’ll occasionally use the kitchen and the outdoor spaces.

Speaking of the outdoor spaces, this house was built for entertaining. We’ll have parties a couple times a year (nothing crazy–we’re in our thirties after all), and past roommates have held variety shows here.

I’m looking for kind, creative people who want to continue the legacy of Laurel Canyon as an artistic hub. I’ve been in the house for two years, and I absolutely love it. I want to find people who are going to feel the same.
